Building Your Success Team With Angels of Inspiration

The most important aspect of a success team is inspiration. Surround yourself with those who inspire you to greatness.

There are those who inspire us to be the best that we can be. You've heard it said that you should build a team when you begin your business. Surround yourself with like minded people, with helpers.

Sonia Choquette, author of The Answer is Simple, was recently talking about the importance of having a team. She said, "Even Jesus had his 12 disciples."

Get yourself a team. But what does that mean? The first time I heard it I had no clue. As a matter of fact I felt somewhat deflated at the thought. I pictured big companies that higher lawyers and bookkeepers and the like. And I really felt inadequate. My mind screamed out, "I can't afford lawyers and bookkeepers. I haven't even made my first $100.00."

I found myself jumping back into that little box of lack and not good enough.

I didn't give up. I trudged along doing what came next each day. I knew that I wanted my business to be about spirituality and self empowerment. In this field I discovered my purpose and my passion.

I had to pay the bills so I took on some freelance work. I was a awarded a position of transcribing audios. My first awarded project was that of transcribing 20 audio recordings.

I had never really done this before but the description made it seem doable. After all it was only 20 hours of audio to be transcribed. Easy, right?

Well if you know anything about transcribing, an hour translates into five or six hours of work. Lucky for me, at the time, I did not know this. And I was so new to freelance I didn't even compare what others were being paid.

So I said I would do the job for $50.00. Looking back now, I would laugh myself out of the room. Yet this was to be an assignment from my highest source.

Linda Pannell was the contractor for this assignment and she knew on some level there must be a mistake. So she wrote to ask me if my bid was correct.

Average bidding on transcription is $50.00 per hour of audio. I was new and 20 hours just didn't seem like a lot to me. So I responded to Linda's mail saying I had not thought clearly and would charge $250.00 for the whole job. Now remember I said work is 5 to 1, so little did I know that I was agreeing to work for a meager $2.50 an hour.

I didn't hear anything for a while, so I figured the job was bid to someone else. But a couple weeks later I was surprised that Linda awarded me the job and my adventure began.

As I transcribed those audio recordings I realized that I was being lead by the Divine. These were recordings of Ancient Masters that Linda was interviewing. They were a couple years old but carried the energy and wisdom of the ages. Every day I would listen and type and be lifted to heights I could never imagine reaching.

I felt my inspiration gaining momentum and I literally felt myself blossoming. These recordings were payment well in advance of the salary I was receiving to put them to paper. I believe I would have done them for free.

My life dream has always been to create a spiritual based business. Although I know in my heart that Nature And Flower Pictures is as much spiritual as it is just about pictures, I just couldn't seem to make the connection. Something held me back.

I found myself immersed in ancient wisdom from a level I had never experienced before. You know what they say about doing the work you love? You know it is fulfilling your passion when you would do the job even if you never got paid to do it. Well this was how I felt.

Linda and I became good friends and partners in many other tasks and endeavors. She later asked me to join her in what I feel is the Event of The year. Linda has become an inspiration. Through the speakers she has pulled together and the callers who join to listen, I feel as if I am surrounded by angels.

Linda saw in me a greatness that I was afraid to face. And now I see what kind of team is most important to surround yourself with while starting your business. Your team members must be those people who share your vision. Those are the angels that will show up on your doorstep when you allow God / Higher Power to do the steering.

Another important aspect of my team are my children.

My youngest daughter recently joined the world of Work at Home Mom's with her first sitewww.uniqueparenting.com to be followed up quickly by www.abetterfamilybusiness.com and together we bounce ideas back and forth inspiring each other to remain motivated and on track.

I recently told my daughter she has inspired me to take my business to a new level simply by the fact that she is so good at organizing and planning. We have become a loving and supportive team.

My son has been our technical support person for a very long time. As a matter of fact he helped me build my first computer from the ground up. And has even contributed to graphics on my site. Those navigation buttons are his creation you see on Nature And Flower Pictures.com.

My oldest daughter adds to our energy with her most recent contribution, my granddaughter Savannah. The inspiration in that one can be put into perspective with the fact that she herself is grandma this past month. So this great grandmother is flying high in joy and success I never could have imagined.

As you can see building a business is not a one man show. You have to have a team behind you. But where that team comes from just may surprise you.

I want to thank my team and let you all know I am the luckiest business owner in the whole world.

So who is on your team?

Does Happiness Need a Reason?

Who doesn't want a little more happiness? I know there are times when I wonder just where I will find something in my day to be happy for. Today I got an email from the host of World Changing Wisdom, Linda Pannell.

You may have read in some of my posts that I am co-hosting this event with Linda. And I cannot express my gratitude enough to have been chosen for this position. It has been a wonderful experience so far and promises to be even more exiting as the days progress. If you would like to see for yourself what I'm talking about, register for this free teleseminar at Heart Holograms

But for now, I would like to share Linda's email with you.

This morning, like every morning, I watched the sky with clouds so thick and gray, I scowled, "What a yucky day". I thought the sun would never arrive.

And then, in one of those moments where my spirit seems to whisper audibly and palpably with a message that sits 3 inches in front of my heart ...

I felt the words...

"Every day is Election Day. You may elect to be happy... Happy is not simply a feeling, it is an experience, a state of being. It is who I am. I AM Happy. I AM Love. I Am Divinity. I AM Heart...I Am Energy...I Am Everything

"I Am!"...words that hold immense power and possibility.

While I KNOW that...today was different.

I had just read Marci Shimoff's, "Happy for No Reason" and I remembered my high score on the Happy for No Reason Questionnaire.

I could not believe I had never really known the real definition of happy or that I AM already IT.

Like everyone else, I searched for happiness for many years thinking it was something else. I searched for love thinking it was something else. But the truth is...

I AM ALL THAT. I am what I am searching for. I have so much more to say but I have no time to say it right now....

So to be continued...

Because today I talk with Marci Shimoff about the new paperback release of Happy for No Reason...

Having things and circumstances - money, success, relationships, health - brings a certain kind of happiness, but this temporary experience of satisfaction or joy soon fades and we have to hurry up and fulfill the next desire to feel happy again.

To experience true and lasting happiness, we can learn to access the deep state of peace and well-being that already exists within us--beyond the reach of external circumstances. Then, no matter what is happening in life we are Happy for No Reason.

Opening to Your Creativity, Get Out of That Box

Is your creativity wrapped in a nice neat little box? What do I mean by that? Well recently I was transcribing the audio of a TeleSeminar series that I am co-hosting with Linda Pannell from World Changing Wisdom. Devra Ann Jacobs, literary agent, was telling us all about her own upcoming book. The subject of this book is about the boxes we place ourselves in or that we are placed in by others.

As you might have guessed the first box we find ourselves in is the birth box. And the boxes grow from there. These boxes are simply another way of saying this is how I identify myself.

And many times we use those same boxes to define our creativity. If I were to ask you to paint me a picture of a rose in oils, what would your answer be?

Would you say, "Oh no I only do sketches with charcoal." or "Oh, my talent is in water color." or "Oh, no, I don't have the talent to do that. I am a writer."

Perhaps you have learned to open your boxes a little and you answer, "Well, I've never painted a rose in oils but I will give it a try."

These are all boxes and very small ones at that. One box that I have been known to identify my creativity by is that I cannot draw. My drawing abilities reach as far as maybe a stick figure or two.

Now I'm not saying boxes are bad. They are really neither good nor bad. As a matter of fact, sometimes these boxes can serve us well. And sometimes you just don't have an interest in painting roses. So that box serves you when you say no.

But sometimes opening to your creativity requires we move outside that box. For instance, maybe a stick figure is exactly what someone is looking for.

This picture was drawn on one of my open creative days. I used a black paper and white pencil and truthfully was amazed at the results. My family looked at the pictures and responded with, "You did that?" The other images throughout this article are all photo manipulation and computer enhancement. That is my true love what I have a passion for.

So how do I get out of that box, you ask? Well the best way that I have found is through the heart or love. When we do what we love suddenly the boxes fall away.

And sometimes its just enough to recognize you are in a box and step outside just a little. That little shift in consciousness puts you on top of the box where it will do you the most good.

So step out of that box and write your story.

Devra Jacobs is a literary agent whose area of interest is authors of higher consciousness material. She is just one of many speakers you can hear on these weekly seminars. Be sure and register today at http://register.heartholograms.com This week's speakers are:

Love Has Many Faces

You’ve probably heard it said, by wise men, great and true
That those who search for love are fools and those who find are few
They say that love is folly and efforts are in vain
And if we seek fortune and honor we have much more to gain
But have they really pondered this love they speak about
Or did they simply label it a thing to live without
Love has many faces all are tried and true
Unlike the worldly needs of man, love we can’t eschew
To some love is a child to others love is wealth
Some find love in gardening and some just love good health
Love is reading, love is art
Love is a feeling of the heart
Love is a puppy love is a cat
Love is a Rhino, imagine that
Love is a tree Love is a hill
Love is the song of a whippowill
Love is a Doctor Love is a king
Love is a Talent love is a ring
Love is the ocean love is the sod
And who wouldn’t say that love is God
Yes love is a thing, people, a place
Love is a part of the whole human race
We may blurt it hurt it desert it and such.
But we cannot deny the need of loves touch

by Martha Martin

This poem was written by my mother the month I graduated from Fairmont Senior High in June of 1971. I have Mom to thank for my many views of life. Always the one to shine my path for me, I knew she would always be there with open arms to catch me if I fell. It took courage to walk some paths but I always knew she would be there to listen as I came back to share what I had found. Times would come when she would say I brought her gifts she couldn’t find on her own. Yet always I knew that on some level she had been there before me. Thanks mom.

Life is For Living

When I was young and my mind was small
My problem’s got quite out of hand

But then as I grew and my mind grew too
I learned to accept each command.

As problems arise, and problems do
I divide them in equal lot

And do what I can to understand
And don’t try to be what I’m not.

If problems get huge as is often the case
I imagine myself as a friend

I trim off the edges and tackle the heart
And it usually works out in the end.

I do what I think is best for the most
For the longest possible time

I’m rewarded for doing the best I know how
With a peace that is most sublime.

When folks look at me like I’m kind of a nut
I just toss it aside with a grin

For I know I can’t tackle the problems with out
If I’m lacking peace within.

Martha Martin

This poem was written and published in The Times Poetry Corner in 1971. That was the year I graduated from high school. The author is my mother and with her permission am putting together her series of writings to be offered as an inspirational book of poems and stories.

She always says her poems were a gift from God. As I read and format them I am filled with light and love. They are often timeless in nature and I look forward to offering them up in the near future.

All my love,
Martha's daughter Sally
